Last Thursday Zach had his very first preschool field trip to a local farm/pumpkin patch. He has accompanied Allie to the same farm twice before, but this was his first time going as a preschool member of the green class...and Olivia was the one that got to tag along while Allie spent her morning at kindergarten.
We had a beautiful morning in the upper 70's to enjoy the farm. First up was the hay ride.
Olivia and I enjoyed the hayride much more this year than last year. At almost nine months pregnant last Fall, the hayride was pretty much torture for me. This year we had lots more fun on the half hour excursion across the farm land and even spied some wild turkeys in one of the corn fields.
After the hayride we enjoyed snacks before visiting the farm animals. Zach wasn't as excited about the animals, but he did enjoy petting a few and was excited to find a rooster feather with polka dots.
Finally, it was time to pick out our pumpkins. First, I took advantage of all those pumpkins for a brother and sister photo.
And then I couldn't help but snap one of Olivia amidst all the pumpkins.
Zach picked out his pumpkin quicker than any of the other kids. After a quick photo....
...we said goodbye to the farm until next Fall.
