Minocqua Vacation 2012: Cabin Time

We have been vacationing as a family in Minocqua, Wisconsin for the past seven years and five of those years have been spent at the same log cabin with the beloved moose (as Allie calls it) that hangs on the wall over the fireplace in the living room.  Actually, we are fairly certain the mounted mammal is an elk, but it is better known to Zach as "the deer" and most familiar to Olivia as "the cow" (she even said "moo" when she first beheld it).  One of these years I definitely need to get a picture of the antlered, wall-mounted animal that insights so much enthusiasm in the hearts of our kids when we reminisce about our time at the cabin in Minocqua.

Although we don't spend too much time inside the cabin, preferring instead to take in all the beautiful outdoor surroundings during the day, we enjoy the spacious log home for all of us to be together in.  This year my grandparents from Texas were able to come up and spend the week along with us as well.  We are thankful for a large enough place to hold all 7 adults and 4 kids with room to spare.

Olivia with her self-proclaimed favorite person...EVER!

I'm pretty sure Uncle Chris read that Jester book so many times that he could probably recite it in his sleep.

Lots of cuddle time for Drew with Great Grandma.
