Today we braved the cooler temps and breezy weather for Zach's Preschool's annual farm trip. We bundled up and made our way to the farm, making sure to take advantage of a few photo opportunities along the way.
We saw and were able to pet a lot of different animals: cows, pigs, sheep, miniature horses, goats, llamas, chickens, roosters, peacocks. Zach wasn't too excited about touching any of the animals, but Olivia made sure she did not miss a single opportunity to touch an animal...well, except for the pig...she had NO desire to touch the pig!
After we toured the barns and saw the animals, we took our turn on the tractor pulled hay ride.
Zach made sure we had a spot right up front so that he could watch the tractor and driver the entire way.
Animal crackers and juice boxes were served for snack time before we were off to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins. At first Zach was determined to pick out the largest pumpkin, but upon discovery that he was responsible for carrying the pumpkin he chose, he ended up with one that was quite a bit smaller.
This is Zach's fourth time at the Preschool farm trip since he used to be the little sibling that tagged along with Allie's class! Regardless, he had a blast and was a little sad to discover that it will be his last trip with his Preschool since when it is time for Olivia to participate, he will be at his own school. I promised him, though, that we would definitely come back as a family so he wouldn't have to miss a year at the farm.
