This Thanksgiving we endeavored upon a whirlwind trip to Wisconsin to spend with family. Our first destination was Osh Kosh to visit with my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew. We left early Wednesday morning and arrived in time to enjoy the afternoon and evening together. In addition to making a stop at Target to stock up on some Packer gear for Ben, we made the most of the beautiful weather at what the kids have hailed the "Castle Park."
We saw my nephew Drew only about a month ago, but we were all surprised at how much he has grown and changed in such a short amount of time. What a cutie--we just couldn't get enough of him! It is pretty apparent from these photos that Allie is his absolute favorite.
Before bed, the two babies had some special bonding time. Next to my nephew, my baby doesn't seem quite so little anymore!
On Thanksgiving Day, we made our way to Mukwonago to spend time with Ben's family. Unfortunately, that is when Poop-a-geddon hit (Ben's term for poor Olivia's intestinal issues) and we spent so much time cleaning up poop and running to and from the bathroom that pictures didn't get taken. The kids, however, enjoyed playing Legos and reading books in between dinner and dessert with Grandma and Grandpa Dzioba and Aunt Chrissy.
On Friday, we made the trek back up to Minnesota to end our whirlwind of a trip. It was at about that point that I realized I was extremely thankful for new kid movie releases...Brave, The Lorax, and Madagascar 3 definitely got us through those many long hours on the road!
Although we enjoyed our time with family, it felt pretty good to be home (and not in the car!).
