Today Ben took off work so we could all have a family day at the apple orchard (the kids already had off school). I had been debating all week on which orchard to visit and eventually decided on a new-to-us location near White Bear Lake, MN: Pine Tree Apple Orchard.
The weather was beautiful in the mid-70's and even though it was windy at times, we all had a great time taking in the breathtaking views the orchard had to offer. Situated atop the hills near Pine Tree Lake, we were awestruck by the beauty around us as we explored the orchard.
We waited patiently for the wagon ride....
And even though poor Zach got stung by a bee on our ride, he managed to not allow it to ruin the rest of the day....however, I'm pretty sure the apple cider doughnut sundaes we enjoyed helped ease the pain of his sting just a bit.
We took advantage of a few cute Fall themed photo ops:
We concluded our visit with a trip to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkins.
We all had a fabulous time and will certainly return...if not for the views, then definitely for the homemade delicious apple treats.
Thankfully, we took home some fresh apple cider, cider cookies, cider syrup, and honey to tide us over until we return!
