Operation Weight Loss 2009                         


In January of 2009, after a diagnosis of pre-diabetes due to high blood glucose levels, I decided once and for all to take control of my health by losing all the extra pounds I had accumulated throughout my adult life. By following a low fat/high fiber diet prescribed by Weight Watchers and incorporating exercise into my daily routine, over the next 9 months I went on to achieve my weight loss goal and lost over 60 pounds. Though losing weight is no easy task, I chronicled my experience as part of my blog (you can read about all the ups and downs by accessing my archived blog entries with the subject label "weight loss"). Presently, I am working diligently to maintain my weight and continue to record my observations, tips, and thoughts regarding healthy living and eating.
